My passion for cooking began in my Aunt Kelly's kitchen. Growing up, I spent countless Sundays at her home surrounded by family, laughter, and incredible Southern cooking. Watching her cook taught me more than recipes. It taught me the importance of hospitality, tradition, and feeding people with love.

Aunt Kelly's influence became the foundation of The Soul Spot and the inspiration behind our soul food offerings. The Caribbean side of our story comes from my husband, Richi, whose Jamaican roots bring bold island flavors and traditions to our menu.

Together, we've blended Southern comfort and Caribbean culture into one table. Every meal is prepared with love, and every guest is treated like family. Dedicated to Aunt Kelly, whose kitchen started it all.
